While the idea of exchanging points for stuff does sound cool, I'm not sure it could be workable. Mainly because as it is now, it's very easy to get points. For example, when playing high low, it only takes about a half hour to turn the initial 500 points you get in to well over one hundred thousand. From there, persistence is all you need to turn that in to millions. And that's just playing high low. I don't play anagrams, but I understand that you can rack up a lot of points playing that game, especially if you cheat.
So as I said, the idea of using points for stuff other then games does sound good, but I think in the long run it would only encourage cheating. But of course, that's just my opinion.

That's been my concern, and though I thought about offering my companies products for points, I won't for that very reason.

I had thought of the same thing. I do very strongly inphasize "some" of my company's software products. However, due to the increase in cheating that would occur if software companies such as ours did this I decided against this idea.
